Switzerland 2025 is the place to be! As the evenings are drawing out and it’s getting easier to get up in a morning, I can feel the seasonal depression fade away. Now I’m really looking forward to the summer and it will soon be with us. I was just checking out some of the biggest events of the summer and realised that Switzerland will be the place to be. Switzerland will be playing host to Eurovision and the UEFA European Women’s Championship, I can’t wait! Beyond these events, Switzerland offers breathtaking scenery, adventure, and culture.

Eurovision 2025 – A Music Lover’s Dream
13th – 17th May 2025
St Jakobshalle, Basel
Europe’s biggest music festival will be held in Basel this year after Switzerland’s entrant Nemo won in Malmö last year with their entry – The Code. The Eurovision final is watched by an average of 163 million views around the world – me included, every single year. 52 countries enter each year from all over Europe plus Israel and Australia, and 26 perform in the Grand Final. The UK is part of the big 5, which automatically qualifies every year. If you haven’t got tickets but still want to visit to soak up the amazing, joyous atmosphere, you can head to Basel and the fan events will begin on May 10th 2025.
The UK’s entry has been announced by ScottMills as What the Hell Just happened by Pop / Country act, Remember Monday. If you haven’t heard it, check it out, I’m pretty sure it’ll be all over this summer, especially if you listen to Scott Mills or Rylan on Radio 2!
UEFA Women’s Euros – Football Fever in Switzerland 2025
2nd – 27th July 2025
Basel, Bern, Geneva, Zürich, St Gallen, Lucerne, Sion and Thun
The Lionesses will be heading out to defend their title in Switzerland 2025. Serena Weigman and her team will be kicking off their tournament in Zurich at the Stadion Letzigrund against France. I know we will be cheering on the Lionesses and hoping to see them repeat what they achieved in 2022!
Keep up to date with all that’s happening in Switzerland for the event on the UEFA Women’s Euros site, they have all the details of all the games, destinations and events happening in the fan zones. If you are thinking about heading out there, I would say get things booked sooner rather than later, some of these tickets and the accommodation will be getting booked up now, so you need to act fast.
